I'm trying to run a python script when the system boots on a Windows 10 workstation. My python script runs fine when I kick it off in a different directory but I noticed that when I run it from the C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Scripts\Startup folder, I get an error saying no file or directory could be found (Errno 2). Note : I can run the py interpreter from this dir.

My current user and system user both have full permissions for the file, besides 'special permission.' I noticed that the script does not run when I restart the computer as I was attempting to log output from the script to a .log file.

The script is added as a startup script for the local computer in Local Group Policy Editor as well.

Can someone please assist a windows noob like me?

EDIT: Here is the exact error. python: can't open file 'start_receiver.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory . The file is most certainly there.
