When you click the paperclip icon to add an attachment in Outlook Web App (OWA), your browser should launch a file window so you can choose a file to add. If nothing happens when you click the attachment icon, this could be because: You are using Google Chrome version 37 or later. In version 37 of their Chrome web browser, Google introduced a change which ...

In my case, I was using Adobe Reader, but the install was new and I hadn't yet opened Reader directly to accept the EULA. Once I had done that, the preview in Outlook worked.

Normally, we can use Outlook rules. Log on the shared mailbox and create a rule to automatically assign a color to messages from these faxes. Please check whether this works.

Do you mean that when you forward emails from Group 1 to Group 2, received message will stay in folder Group 1? Do you enable conversation view? If yes, Outlook may show messages in one conversation to one folder. To turn off it, please click View > Unselect “Show as conversation”.

Unfortunately the folder tree provided "as-is" in Outlook. You can't customize it at all. This is a strongly requested feature, so please vote for it on Outlook UserVoice.

Actually, this is doable with Outlook rule and run a script action (you may need to use the EnableUnsafeClientMailRules registry value to unlock it). In a VBA script that created Outlook rule will fire, use MailItem's SentOn and ReceivedTime properties to calculate a delay. After that use the Categories property to assign a required category.

Generally, the AutoArchive settings can be either per-profile or per-folder. You can't setup AutoArchive folder per-account. So, either use one archive folder for all accounts in a profile or set individual AutoArchive settings for each folder in each account. The latter can be extremely time-consuming. If you really need a separate AutoArchive folders, I ...

In OWA 2010 and previous version, there was an option to check the spelling of the message upon sending. Since OWA 2013, OWA completely relies on the spell check capabilities of the browser. You may right-click on 'week' and see what auto-correct suggestion it lists. You can also click 'Add to dictionary' to see whether it helps.

This has been an issue since Outlook 2016 with IMAP accounts. One fix that seems to work - In Account Settings, under the Advanced tab for the mail account, insert the word "Inbox" in the Root Folder field. You may have go through the control panel applet (with Outlook closed) to access the advanced settings. See this link for details - Advanced Settings ...

The Search Protocol Host might be prompting for credentials from older, inactive mail accounts. In Windows 10 the Search Protocol Host is now indexing data files from all Outlook profiles, and that's why it’s asking for old usernames and passwords. To stop this prompt, open Control Panel > Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit), select the older mail ...

We actually found a fix today that involves the registry. Inserting the following key did the trick: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\office\16.0\outlook\autodiscover DWORD: ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint Value = 1 See here

You may create a Registry Key to block this: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common Dword: BlockHTTPImages Value: 1 If issue continues, we can run outlook in safe mode as suggested in this TechNet thread to see the result. To do this, please exit Outlook. Press Win +R to open Run. Type outlook /safe and then click Enter.

You can solve this issue using a VBA macro that generates a list of folders that all of the emails in the conversation currently reside in. Then, the user can pick from this list or a rule can be set to select the folder to move the email to. The selection or rule should trigger another VBA subroutine to move the emails. I had the same issue and created a ...

If I understood it correctly, Outlook doesn't provide an option to only modify the future meetings in a recurring meeting. Email doesn't work like that. While it may be possible to write code that MIGHT have that affect, only setting the text to visible if certain criteria are met, the important thing to note is that Adam's email client will receive the exact same email and it would be trivial for Adam to see that "hidden" message. No, if you wish to send a message in an email ...

I found a way to do this: Based on the other answer of doing a search, I created a new customized search folder and selected all of my folders that I wanted to do a mass "Mark as Read" action, with a criteria of "unread". This made a new "Unread" search folder for just the targeted folders. Now I can do a single right-click and "Mark All as Read".

You can only remove the spaces that come after your signature, not the spaces before. Your signature files are located at: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures. You can't the way you showed. The only option I found is to create your own template and to use it for new and replies etc. I found this annoying and reverted back to signatures but it may be OK for you. Even better is probably Quick Parts: Create a new email Add the signature exactly as you want Select all the text in the editor Click on Insert and ...

I've got this problem for a long time and just now discovered the reason why. This is not the expected behaviour (or at least in my opinion, it shouldn't be unless you specifically add to the rule that you want the whole group to fall in the filter, which is unfortunately not possible at the moment as far as I know. The odds are you don't even know that that ...

The other listed answers are the better initial troubleshooting steps. However, in my case, a remote agent (in this case Kaseya) was being used the access the computer. What you are describing isn’t phishing at all. In other words, phishing is not an attempt to infect a user’s computer but rather ...

You can't do fancy searches using the To/From/Cc/Bcc fields in Search Folders without creating custom forms, but there is a work around for finding senders in a certain domain using the "Mail from specific people" option. What you are describing appears to have the hallmarks of a compromised computer which is part of a spamming botnet - despite ESET not picking up on it. It appears from what you say that the targetted group are Chinese. You may be able to bolster this theory by getting some of the emails translated. There is no simple way to solve this problem (other then ...

I would like to answer this because I had a similar problem, but I have no scripts running. I am an otherwise regular user. The accepted answer did heavily guide and inspire this answer. You could use Powershell to loop through the addresses and send the email, assuming you know the details of your Exchange server If the spreadsheet is in a CSV, it's easier than if it's in an Excel file. As far as I know, this could be done via Mail Merge feature of Word. Emails will be sent via Outlook and you can track sent items in Sent Items folder. Outlook doesn't provide a build-in feature to achieve this. You can add reminders to message you sent to notify yourself even the recipients, you can also request a read receipt in the message. In Outlook 2016, using date formats that are appropo to your system will work, provided they use slashes instead of hyphens. received:yyyy/mm/dd..yyyy/mm/dd or received:mm/dd/yyyy..mm/dd/yyyy will limit emails received in the given time period, inclusive of the start and end dates.

Best solution I have personally found is to add the block of rooms I want to pick from to the scheduling assistant and then choose Save-As and select "Outlook Template" as the file type and save the file somewhere handy.
