The Asian Hospital and Medical Center Cardiac Center is the first and only advanced cardiac care facility in the southern part of the metropolis. The Cardiac Center offers comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment procedures using holistic approach to heart care.

Heart Care, the #TatakAsian Way

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death globally. It includes a range of heart and blood vessel problems like heart attack and stroke. Lifestyle-related factors like smoking, unhealthy diet, obesity, physical inactivity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and raised lipids can increase your chance of having CVD.

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) Cardiac Center combines world-class medical
expertise, advanced technologies, and up-to-date heart care education to dramatically improve the prevention and treatment of heart disease. Our physicians and healthcare staff are committed to provide the highest quality of cardiac care with integrity, dignity, and compassion.

Cardiovascular Services

Asian Hospital’s highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeons work with specialists in Cardiovascular
Diseases and other areas to deliver the highest quality of heart care for adult and young cardiac
patients. The Cardiac Center’s overall mortality rate is 3%, including all cardiac and thoracic aortic cases. This is comparable with the mortality rate of the U.S. Society of Thoracic Surgeons Database, the global standard for heart surgery outcomes. The overall mortality rate for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), including re-operation, is 1%.

Our capable and experienced Cardiac Surgeons treat different heart conditions using cutting-edge procedures, such as:

  • Aortic Valve Replacement
  • Carotid Endarterectomy
  • Coronary Artery Bypass
  • Endovein Harvest
  • Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)
  • Maze Procedure
  • Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement
  • Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass (OPCAB)
  • Surgical Ventricular Restoration (DOR Procedure)
  • Thoracic and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
  • Repair

Cardiac Catherization Laboratory (Cath Lab)

The Cardiac Catherization Laboratory (Cath Lab) is a vital part of cardiac care. It is a venue for a number of procedures that enable a Cardiologist to:

  • locate blood vessel narrowings or blockages that could cause chest pain
  • measure pressure and oxygen levels in different parts of the heart
  • check the pumping function of the heart
  • take sample tissues from the heart
  • diagnose heart defects present from birth, and
  • examine the heart valves for problems.
